After years of discussing updating the placards that recognize the Battle of Iron Works Hill, an agreement between the Alliance and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mount Holly sought to construct a new design. Its main purpose is to visually attract more visitors from Pine Street while providing more context for the events that happened here in both December 1776 and in June 1778.
President Eric Orange had a concept idea and gave instructions to VP Adam Zielinski who created this design plan by which we used to help fundraise for materials. This was achieved through a GoFundMe Campaign where we received the gracious donations from 70 people, reaching our goal of $5,000. We then worked with Lippincott Supply in Mount Holly to get the necessary materials.
President Eric Orange narrates a short video of the site's construction by friends and members of the Rev War Alliance.
